A free, intensive training opportunity organized by Fondazione Bruno Kessler in collaboration with IT4LIA AI Factory for researchers, professionals, and students who want to master AI applied to environmental sciences.
From October 26 to 29, 2026, Fondazione Bruno Kessler is hosting the “Artificial Intelligence for Weather and Climate Autumn School 2026” (AIWCAS 2026) in Trento, an intensive four-day school dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence in meteorology and climatology.
The program combines lectures given by national and international speakers with hands-on lab sessions, offering participants concrete skills in using AI for Weather and Climate techniques (from deep learning to neural networks) applied to weather forecasting, the analysis of atmospheric dynamics, and the challenges posed by climate change.
The school is open to 25 participants selected from academia, public institutions, and industry. Applications are evaluated by the Scientific Committee, which draws up a ranking and notifies those selected.
