On 9 July 2026, Cinema Eliseo in Cesena (Sala EmilioPi, Viale Carducci 11) will host “AI & Imprese – Intelligenza Artificiale: opportunità applicative nel rispetto della normativa“, a free workshop organised as part of the Romagna Tech Digital Team project and aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.
An event designed for SMEs
The event, scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, is designed to give SMEs practical tools and concrete guidance: understanding which AI applications are already accessible today, how to navigate the new regulatory framework of the AI Act without being caught unprepared, and what technological and training resources are available to start or accelerate an adoption journey. Through real-world examples and expert presentations, participants will be able to explore use cases such as predictive maintenance and automatic content generation, with a clear picture of costs, opportunities, and constraints.
IT4LIA AI Factory and EuroCC Italy: IFAB Foundation’s contributions
Among the speakers, Laura Mortini of IFAB Foundation will present IT4LIA AI Factory as a laboratory and reference point for companies looking to develop AI-based solutions with access to European-level HPC infrastructure. In the same session, Simona Contaldi, also from IFAB Foundation, will present the GenAI4Add case study within the EuroCC Italy framework: a concrete example of how artificial intelligence can predict failures before they occur.
The programme
The full programme also includes a talk by Davide Maltoni (University of Bologna) on recent developments in generative and non-generative AI, and one by Annalisa Franco (University of Bologna) on the practical application of the AI Act. The session closes with a Q&A and an aperitivo.
Attendance is free, but registration is required.
