IT4LIA AI Factory in Dublin for EuroHPC User Days 2026

Dublin welcomes Europe’s supercomputing community

From 22 to 24 September 2026, Dublin will host the fourth edition of the EuroHPC User Days, the annual event organised by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking together with ICHEC (Irish Centre for High-End Computing) and Ireland’s Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, as part of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event brings together Europe’s HPC, quantum computing and AI supercomputing user community to share projects, gather feedback and connect current and prospective users of EuroHPC resources.

IT4LIA, part of the European AI Factories network

IT4LIA AI Factory is part of the European AI Factories network, dynamic ecosystems co-funded by the European Commission to accelerate the development of trustworthy AI models and the services built on them. The network integrates EuroHPC JU supercomputers with quality data, scientific and industrial expertise and experimentation tools, supporting innovation across strategic sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, agrifood, smart cities, Earth sciences, climate, finance and space. Selected by EuroHPC JU in December 2024 among the first seven European AI Factories, IT4LIA today positions itself as a reference point for trustworthy, ethical and high-performance artificial intelligence. Find out more about the EuroHPC AI Factories network.

Three days between language models and training

The User Days programme spans three content-packed days: it opens with the plenary “From EuroHPC Access to Impact: Accelerating Innovation in Europe“, featuring testimonials from organisations that have already used EuroHPC resources, and continues with “Harnessing Potential – European Large Language Models in Research and Innovation“, focused on the development of European language models. Training also takes centre stage with “Europe’s Gateway to Supercomputing Training“, while the AI Factories dimension is the focus of the closing plenary “AI Factories, AIF Antennas: Cooperation and Innovation in Action” on Thursday 24 September.

The IT4LIA corner in the AI Factories area

IT4LIA AI Factory takes part in the initiative with a dedicated corner, within the “AI Factories” area. The space will showcase IT4LIA AI Factory’s services: from qualified access to high-performance computing resources to training programmes, alongside matchmaking activities designed to support businesses, public administrations and research centres in adopting artificial intelligence.

An infrastructure serving innovation

IT4LIA AI Factory is the strategic initiative aiming to transform the national and European artificial intelligence landscape, through an advanced HPC infrastructure and a comprehensive portfolio of services for businesses, researchers, public administrations and startups.
