On September 5, the kickoff event of IT4LIA AI Factory was held at DAMA Tecnopolo Data Manifattura Emilia-Romagna in Bologna.

The meeting, an important event for the national scientific community, brought together partners, promoters, and stakeholders close to the Factory’s activities. The main focus was on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, European digital autonomy and the opportunities offered to businesses, start-ups, researchers and public administrations.

The event was attended by European Commission Vice-President Henna Virkkunen and Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini.

At the opening, an institutional delegation visited the Tecnopolo rooms managed by Cineca and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, where the machines that will provide the computing resources for the new project are housed.

With this event, IT4LIA has officially entered its operational phase, starting the delivery of services for the benefit of key sectors such as agri-food, cybersecurity, Earth studies and manufacturing.
