From 24 to 26 June 2026, Bologna hosts the thirteenth edition of We Make Future, Italy’s largest international fair and festival on innovation. Three days of content, networking and exchange between companies, startups, institutions and investors from over 90 countries. IT4LIA AI Factory will be there with multiple interventions, bringing the network’s opportunities directly to those who want to take AI seriously.
What is IT4LIA AI Factory
IT4LIA AI Factory is Italy’s AI Factory, part of the European network of AI Factories promoted by EuroHPC JU. It provides access to European-level supercomputing infrastructure for training and inference of advanced AI models, alongside a full range of services supporting the entire AI project lifecycle: from initial advisory to data preparation, from model development and testing to training, through to matchmaking with investors, accelerators and industrial partners. Our services are open to startups, SMEs, large companies, public administrations and research institutions looking to develop artificial intelligence solutions, with the support of a dedicated expert team and a sovereign European infrastructure.
Our interventions
On 23 June, Marco Becca, Director of IFAB, will open our presence at the Special Partner Night, presenting IT4LIA AI Factory to a selected audience of innovation ecosystem players.
On 24 June, Eleonora Barelli, Head of Education and Foresight of IFAB, will take the stage at the Innovation Night to walk startups and innovators through the network’s opportunities: from access to HPC computing resources to dedicated services for AI development.
On 25 June, Barbara Vecchi, Head of Strategy & Platform of IFAB, will sit on the jury of the Startup Competition, one of the most anticipated events at WMF for the Italian and international startup ecosystem.
What we’re bringing to WMF
At WMF we present the full range of services that IT4LIA AI Factory makes available to those who want to do AI in a concrete, supported way:
- Access to HPC infrastructure — Three access packages (Playground, Fast Lane and Large Scale) to develop and train AI models on European-level supercomputers, with fast access timelines and a dedicated team that supports every organisation throughout the process.
- Advisory and development services — Expert support at every stage of an AI project: from initial assessment to data preparation, from model development and testing to AI Act compliance verification.
- Training — A catalogue of courses and learning programmes on AI and HPC, aimed at both technical and non-technical profiles, to build the skills needed to work with artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly.
- LinkUp — The matchmaking service managed by IFAB Foundation that connects startups with investors, accelerators, incubators and partner companies, through a qualified and guided intermediation process.
Why WMF is a key date for the AI ecosystem
WMF is more than an event: it is one of the main meeting points between those who develop technology and those who adopt it. For startups looking for strategic connections, SMEs exploring what AI can do for their business, and partners interested in building relationships with the European network, it is a concrete opportunity to understand what is possible today — and with what support.
Being at WMF means taking these conversations beyond institutional circuits and meeting where innovation actually happens.
